About us
Our aim is to increase the knowledge about tropical goods, including both their environmental and social impact. If the awareneess increases, both companies and consumers are able to make informed decisions. We are convinced that many of us want to contribute to sustainable supply chains, but due to lack of information it is difficult to know what products to buy or from whom. Through making information accessible to all, we want to be part of making the world better. Above all, we want to give a voice to the people who are actually producing exotic fruits, cacao, coffee etc., as well as stand up for our stunning and remarkable nature.
Collection and analysis of information
We use both primary and secondary data to understand the environmental and social sustainability of tropical goods. In addition to comprehensive data sets, as many concerned actors as possible are approached and included, since we truly believe that inclusive and transparent information sharing is a requirement for in-depth understanding. The collected data is then verified against each other, i.e. triangulation. Note, however, that the analysis does account for “who claims what” in order to minimise biases.
Driven by a commitment to fairness
If we work together, we are convinced that it is possible to continously deepen our understanding of how tropical goods are produced, and their actual impact on both the surrounding environment and communities.
